The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) conducts the Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) for admissions to some of the leading graduate business programs in India. NMAT is conducted online. The Minimum qualification needed for appearing in this test is graduation with at least 50% marks in any discipline.
Admissions to various management courses (MBA, MBA Banking, MBA Capital Markets, MBA HR, MBA Pharmaceutical Management) are given based on NMAT, which is followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
NMAT is divided into three sections, namely- Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning.
The candidates who clear NMAT cutoffs – overall and sectional, are called for the subsequent rounds which include Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Selection Procedure and Seat intake
The admission rounds of NMAT by GMAC will comprise of the Case Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds based on their NMAT score. Candidates must secure the minimum cut off marks to get shortlisted for the counselling rounds. For the counselling rounds, candidates are required to carry the necessary documents. Based on the candidate’s performance in the CD and PI rounds, the result will be prepared.
Each college accepting the NMAT score will prepare their own cut off according to the seats available in their campus. Thus, the candidates will be called upon for counseling in that college according to the references they have given and the cut off that respective college requires.
